Game crashes trying to start a new game, running iOS 9.

Its been several months since ios9 and the iPhone 6s came out. Still no update. Would love to be able to play the $15.99 game I purchased.

For the love of that is all holy please fix the game to work for iOS 9 I have so much left to do I really love this game

Its the best jrpg on iOS, period. Complete console quality. I have absolutely no complaints. This is in my top 5 games of 2015. Along with the Witcher 3 and fallout 4. For 20 bucks its a steal imho.

This is a solid console quality game. Voice language is in Japanese with English subtitles, as it should be because English dub is always hit or miss. Really engaging gameplay. *note: for those of you having trouble with game crashing during start up, turn you phone on airplane mode, start the game and then switch off airplane mode. Small inconvenience to pay for a terrific game.

6 Game of the year awards for a game that has been broken for half of a year. It came out right before iOS 9, plus new phones, which if still hasnt been updated to even boot on all these months later. Square must have lost a ton on money (not to mention goodwill) from all of this free "game of the year" publicity for a game that doesnt even work & they technically cant sell right now due to iOS 9 compatibility issues.

Game stops working in September... Its a new year and well, nothings changed.. Thanks

Why is it the most expensive games have the most problems? This same issue is going on with the Bioshock port and that was like $16, thats not right to take money and leave your customers with a broken product. I gave you my hard earned money, please fix your broken software. Im losing faith in the App Store products.

I downloaded it and tried to make a new file, but it keeps crashing every time

When you try load this game on a save file, the game crashes and will not load the game on my iPhone 6 plus. 1/10/16.

This is complete bull**** we paid 20 dollars for this game and it crashes after the loading screen. Square said they were working on fixing it....back in June back when iOS 9 came out. Really? Kind of sad. Dont recommend it until it gets an update.

This is the second Square Enix game I bought on my iPhone6 that crashed when I open it (the first is the chaos ring 2; when will I learn?) Normally I wouldnt complain because I know how hard it is to make an rpg work on a mobile platform but if Im paying $20, I expect a bit more, at least more than crashes right after I press "new game". I cant even play it! And then I learned how to bypass it by turning on airplane mode but now that theres an update to download before you can keep playing it (as of 1/11/15), it creates this catch22 mess that I cant get out of. I got to play it for a bit and while the game shows promise (although it does have other discrepancies that make me believe this game is more of a salvage effort of a bunch of projects that never really came to fruition); the logistics of it makes me feel this game too much of a mess to be worth a SQUARESOFT gamers time. On that note, anyone else feel like square enix is driving the franchise to the ground ever since they transitioned from squaresoft? Im not even excited about ffxvs release. and xi-xiv never really got me riled up like the past squaresoft entries. they had a loyal fanbase with squaresoft..but now they have been slowly but surely loosing us with their poor, inconsistent releases (not even mentioning the ridiculous delays (kh3, 10 year wait anyone??)) get your shi+ together SE!!

If you are using ios9.0 or higher then do not purchase this app. This app will not work on your iphone or ipad. It always freeze when you start the game after opening movie. Even if you somehow managed to start the game, the screen resolution is also broken. This issue has already been several months yet any kind official solutions have made or posted by the publisher. Literally, i paid $20 for just this games opening movie. I definitely want my money back.

Okay so I paid $20 for this game and was so excited to play it on my iPad air 2 because I love RPGs But every single time I hit "new game" it crashes I want my game to work or my money back!! Ive NEVER paid $20 for an app game and this burned me bad.. Ill change the rating if I can ever play the game!!!!!!

The only way I can get the game to work is in airplane mode and the game wont/doesnt sync between IOS devices. Loved the rest of the series but not impressed with CR3.

This is really a great game compared to most games in the App Store. Like some of the other reviewers have said, this game crashes when trying to load a saved file or downloading a new chapter. This has been going on since the iOS 9 public betas in July. It shouldnt take Square Enix so long to fix this critical issue. Please fix this issue not only for me but for others who have paid and enjoyed this game.

I have not play due to it crashes in the loading screen after choosing to start the game so I want $20 bucks back

Avoid purchasing if using iOS9. Game wont get past the select a game slot to save on.
